A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron is an amazing book.
The story looks at relationships through the truly insightful eyes of man’s best friend. This beautiful story made me smile, cry, and laugh out loud. As I read, I started paying closer attention to my own emotions and looked at my pets in an entirely new light. This is a heartwarming and uplifting story, and I found that as the dog sought to discover its purpose, I contemplated my own.

If I told you that small and simple things can make a huge difference, would you believe me?
Small things do make a difference. Acts of service don’t have to be big to be meaningful. In fact, some of the greatest things we can do for one another are small everyday things. Small acts of service are doable because they can be incorporated into our day and don’t require a large commitment or advanced planning. They can be done everyday and they can leave a lasting impact.

Why do people think differently? Is it their background, genetics, talents, experiences, family life, environment, learning techniques, IQ, personal habits…?
In her book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D. quotes Robert Sternberg, a modern intelligence guru, ‘the major factor in whether people achieve expertise, “is not some fixed prior ability, but purposeful engagement.” His forerunner Blinet recognized, “it’s not always the people who start out the smartest who end up the smartest.”‘
Fear is one of our biggest inhibitors. We can let fear stop us from doing something we love, from trying new things, or from making a needed change.
When we are afraid, there are two choices. We can let fear control us; or, we can be brave, rise above our fear, and grow.
John Lennon said it best, “All you need is love.” The message is clear and simple, Love is everything.
Love can be manifest in many ways, such as kindness, patience, understanding, selflessness, and forgiveness. These attributes can show others the love we have in our hearts.
